Fran Black’s work made in Jonny’s wood on a trip last month was an atmospheric start to the meeting. She also showed a beautiful handmade book of images. Sean McDonnell had made a triptych of a beach scene in Wales. Jonny Baker’s photographs from Rome of the final day of the Giro cycling race and post conclave street scenes captured a real moment of history.

We skipped one of our topics by going to The Photographers’ Gallery last month, so we’ve added that to next month’s and now members have a choice of themes – or perhaps both – to explore: Dawn to Dusk and Inspired by Music.

Finally we’ve now a sign downstairs we’ll put out at future monthly meetings. It spreads our name and may draw some new members!
