The focus of our meeting in February was Transformation, our upcoming group show responding to the production of My Fair Lady at Questors Theatre in Ealing from March 13th to April 9th. We reviewed work already submitted by Sarah Wilkie and Jonny Baker as well as proposals from Frankie McAllister, Nina Ijomone, Dorota Boisot and Sean McDonnell. We also discussed plans to curate, promote and install the exhibition. There are lots of interpretations of the theme making for a rich show of work.

Nina, Sarah and Sean also shared images on this month’s topic of Sideways, linked to the theme of the spring edition of fLIP. We then looked at ideas for monthly meetings for the rest of the year covering more topics, visits to exhibitions and trips out of London.

Sean updated us on a collaboration with ActOne cinema, a series of discussions to complement a programme of photography-related films over the next three months. The first will be a talk by Anna Fox to follow the new Martin Parr film on Monday, February 24th. Further details will be shared soon.

Robin Segulem updated us on the LIP & Photofusion Books, Zines, Prints Fair on Sunday, March 23rd. The last one was a great success so it’s a great opportunity to show work and connect with other members.
